**Job Summary:**

Job Title: Professional Pet Groomer

Coventry Pet Resort is expanding its salon services department and looking to add full time experienced staff for our Pet Grooming department. We are searching for an individual who is great with people and pets to join our team. Candidates must have a passion for animals, work well with others, and have excellent dog-handling experience. We are looking for experienced and skilled candidates that are responsible, hard-working dog lovers able to work with dogs of all breeds and sizes in a positive, respectful, and caring manner. Duties:

• Experienced in providing dog bathing and all types of breed trims.
• Assist clients with providing appropriate consultation on their pet's services.
• Ability to speak with clients.
• Ability to follow instructions to properly provide desired haircuts and trims.
• Ability to work in a "busy salon" and deliver high quality service at a high tempo.
• ability to stand and work as a member of a group of pet groomers.
• Ability to maintain a professional attitude at all times.
• Ability to confidently walk pets around other people and their pets.
• Maintain cleanliness of both the work area and common areas
• Arrive to work at a scheduled time ready to work.
• Ability to cover other shifts if needed.

Skills & Requirements:

• One year experience working as a professional pet groomer is required.
• High school diploma.
• Able to work weekends and holidays.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to handle difficult pets with empathy and professionalism.
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in all pet interactions.
• Proficient in working with computer generated lists and schedules.
