Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions : Work requires long periods of driving, lifting and normal dexterity. Moderate to heavy physical effort is required in the frequent handling of patients.

Incumbent must be able to help non-ambulatory patients from vehicIes, wheelchairs or gurneys. Such lifting may require considerable physical exertion, since some patients are, debilitated or paralyzed.

Patients must be moved correctly while using proper body mechanics to prevent injury. Moderate physical effort is required in handling objects weighing up to 30 pounds and occasional handling of objects weighing over 50 pounds while loading and unloading cargo.

The incumbent is required to work outside and is occasionally exposed to inclement weather conditions while loading and unloading vehicles.

Drives in all types of traffic, weather and is exposed to the possibility of serious accidents. The operator is subject to cuts, bruises, and broken belies as a result of accidents while driving or when leading or unloading vehicles.
