Job Summary:
We are looking a skilled Billing Specialist to join our Dental Office team! The ideal candidate should have a strong knowledge in medical billing and insurance practices.

Responsibilities:
- Review and process dental claims for accuracy and compliance
- Work with insurance in the event of any issues, possibly having to handle tough situations
- Handle medical collections and billing procedures
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records
- Collaborating with office manager to learn the office practices and take over all billing responsibilities
- Assist in the coordination of insurance verifications and authorizations, while ensuring proper documentation and coding

Requirements:
- Proficiency in medical terminology and coding practices
- Experience with DRG (Diagnosis Related Group) codes
- Strong knowledge of medical collection procedures
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
- Billing experience preferred, especially in medical or dental
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, while being able to handle difficult phone calls and emails

Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 36 per week
