Minute Men Staffing is Hiring an Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager Near Ravenna, OH

Now hiring an Environmental, Health and Safety Manager for a manufacturing company in Ravenna.

Annual Salary of $90k - $120k, depending on experience.

The EHS Manager will ensure programs, policies and systems are in compliance with all Federal, State and Local regulations. The manager will be fully responsible to implement and assess all EHS programs on an on-going basis and make the necessary changes to keep these current and within all regulatory guidelines. An EHS Coordinator reports to the EHS Manager. 

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Create, develop and implement all EHS programs and strategies.
  • Act as liaison between the plant and all Federal, State, and Local enforcement agencies.
  • Prepare and submit all environmental plans and reports.
  • Address any regulatory findings within an established time frame.
  • Partner with Senior Leaders to develop EHS goals and strategies that mitigate risk.
  • Lead risk assessments to identify and evaluate hazards and develop corrective actions to address.
  • Prepare and present reports for senior management that address KPI’s as well as corrective plans.
  • Work and collaborate with team members to identify and address EHS issues related to facilities, waste treatment, equipment, hazards and other areas. 
  • Develop site-specific EHS training programs and materials that support a safety-first vision and philosophy.
  • Continually evaluate and improve training programs to meet plant needs.
  • Lead all EHS training for the site.
  • Develop programs that create an awareness for safety programs and encourage employees to participate.
  • Create employee led safety programs to increase participation.
  • Manage the EHS Management System and prepare for audits.
  • Conduct accident investigations to determine root cause and proactive solutions to reduce future risk.
  • Oversee all hazardous waste programs.
  • Perform site safety inspections and report findings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science or Occupational Health and Safety preferred.
  • 5 years of EHS experience in manufacturing environment required with high preference for Chemical or Petrochemical industry.
  • 5 years of EHS experience in areas of Hazardous Materials and Regulatory Reporting required
  • Experience with waste management, emergency response to chemical spills, and OSHA compliance required
  • Experience with Ohio Environmental Regulations required.
