Title : Material Handler

Duration : 12 Months

Location : Raritan NJ

Duties :

Pick / Pack customer andmanufacturing orders to conform with order instructionstransportation regulations and department SOPs.

Load allfreight on carriers in accordance with Shipping and manifestreports and Bill of Lading

Unload truck and palletizeall incoming materials and store / delivers to appropriatearea / individual.

Visually identifies and inspectsincoming materials for accuracy and condition prior to signingreceipt documents. Enters computerized receipt information into MRPsystem where applicable

Controls handles and storesmanufacturing components raw materials chemicals finished goodsinstrumentation and hazards materials from receipt toissue.

Maintains inventory accuracy proper storage ofmaterials by status and ensures that all materials are moved on atimely basis.

Generate carrier manifest reports orderstatus reports and shipping labels. Process opening and closing ofthe day checklist in accordance with department SOPs

Process all materials for scrap when required in accordance withmedical and / or hazardous waste regulations along with receiptstorage

Maintains the work area ina neat and orderly fashion at all times and complies with cGMPs andGood Housekeeping Practices

Schedule :

The normal hours forthis position will be 8 : 30am 5 : 00pm. Overtime will be required asneeded.

SkillsRequired :

High School diploma or equivalentrequired.

Minimum one to two years of related experiencein a distribution related environment and a GMP environment isrequired.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs isrequired.

Experience operating a fork lift truck palletjack and other material handling equipment

Experienceworking in Biotechnology Medical Device Pharmaceutical and / orConsumer Product Manufacturing is preferred.

Experienceworking with SAP is preferred.

This position requiresability to work overtime hours when required.

Physical & Work Condition Demands :

Mustbe able to work for periods of time at temperatures as cold as 20 Cwhile wearing appropriate PPE when required

Must becapable of significant physical labour

Must be capableof operating in a fast paced teamwork environment

Mustwear company issued uniform and safety shoes.

Must bewilling to rotate through all functional areas of Distribution : Shipping Receiving and Warehousing

Must be able to workovertime as required.

Must be able to operate a forktruck and willing to participate in the safety drug screeningprogram
