Innominate Coffeehouse & Bakery is Hiring a Baker Near Ranchester, WY

We are currently hiring for Sunday, Monday and Wednesday afternoon/early evening shifts. This position is projected to grow in hours and scope as we open our second location in July 2024.

At Innominate Coffeehouse & Bakery in Ranchester, Wyoming, we are passionate about the art of baking and the craft of coffee. Our small-batch artisanal bakery specializes in creating delectable pastries and breads, all meticulously crafted with the finest ingredients. Our cozy restaurant is a haven for those seeking a warm, inviting atmosphere in which to savor handcrafted coffee and relaxed, flavorful meals. In July 2024, we are opening a satellite location in Sheridan, with a simple pastry counter. Our Ranchester bakery will service both the restaurant in Ranchester and the pastry shop in Sheridan.

Responsibilities:

  • Measure and combine ingredients using mixers, blenders, heat sources, and other equipment to produce a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies
  • Decorate cakes and pastries with icing, glazes, and other toppings
  • Follow recipes and test ingredients and finished goods to ensure that each item meets food safety, quality and consistency standards
  • Design, improve and test recipes
  • Monitor oven temperatures and adjust baking times as needed
  • Greet and serve customers, answering questions, making recommendations, accepting orders and payments, and providing exceptional customer service
  • Manage production timelines to ensure that displays remain well stocked and that special orders and deliveries are fulfilled accurately and on time
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering of baking supplies, keeping accurate records related to deliveries, inventory, and production levels
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in the kitchen, cleaning and restocking workstations and ensuring that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next activity or shift
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely customer service and efficient food production

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a baker in the food industry or culinary training preferred
  • Basic knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently produce high-quality baked goods
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
