PRIMARY PURPOSE
Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the lodge and other offsite facilities.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND RESULTS
o Responsible for providing the highest level of customer service to all guests and fellow employees. o Sweep and clean rooms, halls, decks, and balconies in the lodge. o Report all lodge repairs or safety issues noticed. o Replenish guest supplies in rooms. o Launder and repair pillows, blankets, bedspreads, and other guest linens. o Order and monitor cleaning and maintenance supplies and linens. o Inspect and clean Ladies Club and meeting rooms. o Provide backup support to janitorial staff for offsite facilities and clubhouse. o Other related duties as assigned by manager or housekeeping supervisor.

AMOUNT OF SUPERVISION RECEIVED
This position receives frequent to constant supervision on a daily or weekly basis. The incumbent performs duties within the scope of specified procedures established by the manager.

INTERACTION WITH OTHERS
This position interacts frequently with lodge personnel and Lodge Manager. This person frequently interacts externally with lodge guests.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibility.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position requires constant standing, walking, use of hands and fingers, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching with hands and arms. This position occasionally requires talking, hearing, standing, and climbing.
Incumbent must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis. Good close and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus are required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position works primarily indoors with occasional work out of doors and is frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions while walking between rooms. Outdoor weather conditions can be wet, humid, cold, or extremely hot. This position is also exposed to indoor heat conditions when doing laundry. The incumbent is

Housekeeper frequently exposed to toxic and/or caustic chemicals used for cleaning. A moderate to loud noise level is typical for the work environment of this job.

USE OF DISCRETION AND INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT
This position is responsible for using sound judgment in the case of emergency or non-emergency issues while
Lodge Manager is absent. Discretion to be used daily.

EFFECT OF POSITION ON ORGANIZATION OR ON ORGANIZATION’S CUSTOMERS/CLIENTS
This position represents the company daily and must portray a professional appearance and demeanor.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
o Education: Requires the ability to read. o Experience: Prior janitorial/housekeeping experience helpful. o Communication skills: Must be able to understand verbal instructions in English and have good customer service skills. o Mathematical skills: No special math skills required. o Computer skills: No computer skills required. Expected to use time clock. o Reasoning ability and other skills: Must have good organizational skills and good time management skills. o Certificate, licenses: Requires valid California driver’s license.
