Our 3-month Engineer internship opportunity offers candidates working toward their bachelors or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related degree exposure to a variety of assignments which could include: Manufacturing Process Automation and systems integration, Process Risk assessments for Quality, and Energy Audits.
Responsibilities
  • Complete assignment of a specific project during the 3-month internship experience
  • Handle all details of assigned projects from inception to completion within mutually agreed-upon timeframes
  • Analyze schematics and develop hardware architecture specifications
  • Handle process for reworks & reclaims on products
  • Assist Senior engineers with development, testing, and analysis of components and processes
  • Maintain orderly project records. Analyze, condense, and present data results and recommendations
  • Support line issues and collaborate with manufacturing engineers in driving to solutions
  • Develop and improve manufacturing engineering standards and quality controls
  • Assist in the product development of new or enhanced product design or simulation programs to help ensure the quality of IR products, systems, solutions, and services
  • Answer, or find answers to, quality and/or technical questions when requested by peers or internal and external customers

A Successful IR Intern Candidate Will Exhibit The Following
  • Collaborate with others to foster effective teamwork by linking own responsibilities to the team’s goals and needs - zeal for new information, knowledge, and experiences
  • Rapidly resolve problems to maximize customer satisfaction
  • Establish courses of action for self and others to ensure work is completed efficiently, such as, prioritizing tasks based on importance
  • Must be currently enrolled in a BS/BA in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with a cumulative overall GPA at or above 3.0 throughout the duration of the internship
  • Demonstrated leadership skills such as: campus organizations, sports team captain, resident advisor, etc. or exceptional leadership of work projects
