Position Description :
Promotes coffee consumption by educating customers on Thrive Services Group Inc. ( Thrive )’s mission & vision. Prepares and serves a variety of coffee drinks, along with pastries and cookies.
Instrumental in building customer relationships and fostering a positive and friendly store environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Educates customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu and answering questions.
- Prepares and sells coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks, such as espresso, latte and cappuccino.
- Generates revenues by attracting new customers.
- Maintains inventory by replenishing coffee bean supply, stocking coffee brewing equipment, maintaining supplies, pastries, and cookies.
- Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance and calling for repairs.
- Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
- Performs assigned cleaning duties before, during and after the shift.
- Performs other related duties, as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills) :
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Prior café or coffee shop experience preferred.
- Familiarity with telephone, office, and point-of-sale software.
- Maricopa County Food Handler card required.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for position.
