Compensation contingent on experience and skill set ranging from $55,000-$65,000
Curtis Power Solutions, a subsidiary of Indel Power group, has an opening for Inside Sales Engineer at our Quakertown, Pennsylvania location. Indel Power Group is a distributor/dealer for major brands such as MTU, Detroit Diesel, Allison Transmission, Cummins, Caterpillar, Volvo Penta, Freightliner, Western Star, Isuzu, Autocar, and Crane Carrier to name a few.
The Inside Sales Engineer is an Application Engineering support for the Power Generation sales division. This position will be responsible for supporting and promoting MTU generators, power generation solutions and integrating services of Curtis Power Solutions.
Key Job Role Overview And Objectives
  • Technical Knowledge:
  • Review and interpret project design documents and scope of work, enhance product knowledge of MTU and power equipment as necessary to fully understand total power solution provided.
  • Initiate, coordinate, procure and assemble technical submittal documents for channel review and approval.
  • Develop, modify, or procure technical drawings for onsite coordination of interconnects or conduit layouts.
  • Track and influence projects from design phase to implementation.
  • Learn and understand advanced concepts of building electrical distribution systems and how to apply power generation equipment and related technical scope of work.
  • Prepare sales activity reports to assist in capturing of data analytics and market trends.
Communication / Customer Interface
  • Be the communication hub for internal/external partners to guide project to a successful turnover to the end-user from inception to close-out.
  • Project schedule alignment to meet customer and project expectations.
  • Proactive communication to coordinate follow up opportunities with outside salesman
  • Salesforce lead to coordinate quality up to date opportunity data.
  • Weekly coordination with sales team for quotation activity and follow up efforts
  • Understand and respond to customer’s sense of urgency evidenced by consistent and timely communication.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service when dealing with customers (internal & external).
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of the power industry and 3-phase power.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively.
  • High level of productivity output.
  • Presentation skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize demands.
  • Respond effectively to changes in workload, schedules, and environment
  • Engineering Degree preferred; Electrical or Mechanical related.
  • T his position requires occasional driving
