Cherokee Federal is Hiring a Quality Inspector Near Pryor, OK

Quality Inspector

***As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a US Citizen**

Quality inspectors work without supervision and will demonstrate expert understanding of Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing (GD&T) methods per ASME 14.5. This position requires the ability for blueprint reading and manufacturing/inspection related math skills. as well as the ability to review and critique AS9102 reports. 

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Quality Inspector: $19.00 – 23.00 hourly 

Pay commensurate with experience.

Full-time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

1st shift Monday-Thursday 6:00 am - 4:30 pm, Friday as required to support operations

Quality Inspector Responsibilities Include: 

  • Perform inspections utilizing inspection measuring equipment including, but not limited to, surface plates, micrometers, height gauges, radius gauges, protractors, profilometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and Coordinate Measuring Machines/Scanners
  • Performs incoming inspection of parts and materials for compliance against established requirements.
  • Perform data entry of inspection results into computer software programs. 
  • Perform in-process inspections of machined parts and assemblies against technical drawings and industry specifications for compliance.
  • Work with 6S champions to maintain 6S levels within the inspection area(s). 
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Quality Inspector Experience, Education, Skills, and Abilities requested: 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Required
  • 3 years with recent aerospace machine shop experience preferred.
  • 3 years of inspection experience required 
  • 3 years Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing (GD&T) methods per ASME 14.5. 
  • Ability for blueprint reading and manufacturing/inspection related math skills. as well as the ability to review and critique AS9102 reports. 
  • Good knowledge of common inspection measuring equipment including, but not limited to, surface plates, micrometers, height gauges, radius gauges, protractors, profilometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and Coordinate Measuring Machines/Scanners.
  • Competent in blueprint reading and performing basic math skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, drawings and technical descriptions. 
  • Interpersonal skills; patience; problem solving skills; attention to detail; organization skills; accuracy; time management; basic math skills.
  • As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a US Citizen
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
