for a Store Clerk on the North Slope!

Brooks Range Supply is seeking a professional and customer-focused Store Clerk for our parts counter operations at DAC. In this position, you will be responsible for waiting on customers in person or over phone, pull parts for orders from stock, invoice parts, restock parts inventory, maintain parts counter and store, and exceeding expectations to provide an exceptional experience.

To excel in this role, you must be approachable and detail-oriented with proven hospitality or customer service experience. Our ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

This position is in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska and requires a rotational commitment to working a schedule of 2x2 or 3x3.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

• Assist customers in person or over phone
• Maintain counter and store
• Restock parts/Maintain inventory
• Keep display area and store clean
• Parts Ordering and Freight as needed
• Read orders to ascertain catalog numbers, sizes, colors, and quantities of merchandise.
• Handle Special Orders
• Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
• Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.

• Greet customers, patrons, or visitors and ascertain what each customer wants or needs.
• Examine condition of property or products.
• Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise. 
• Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs and desires.
• Compute sales prices, total purchases, and receive and process cash or credit payment.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is preferred.
