Your day as a Behavioral SpecialistAs a Behavioral Specialist at the Intensive Residential Treatment Center in Provo, Utah, you will play a crucial role in the development and social adjustment of clients through interactive processes and role modeling. You will provide personalized assistance and support to clients, aiding in goal setting and social norm coaching. Your responsibilities will include implementing behavioral modification treatment programs, supervising clients, and facilitating instructional activities to promote the development of psychosocial skills. Additionally, you will manage crisis situations, conduct vocational skills training, and teach independent living skills.

Are you the Behavioral Specialist we're looking for?To excel as a Behavioral Specialist, candidates must possess a High school diploma or GED, along with one year of post-high school education in social work, psychology, or a related field. Additionally, candidates should have at least one year of general work experience, or an equivalent combination of related education and experience. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and other staff members. Attention to detail and the ability to document client behaviors accurately are essential for this role. Candidates should also be adept at crisis management and be proactive in addressing behavioral concerns.

Employment at Wasatch Behavioral Health is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen, motor vehicle record review and criminal background check. After hire you must complete and receive a Criminal Background Clearance (BCI) from Utah State Office of Licensing. Upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment in the position, you must provide an official copy of licensure or certification.Salary: $15.62 - $19.79 per hour
