- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field with an emphasis in accounting.
- Five (5) years or more experience in an exempt level role supporting accounting or financial management required.
- One (1) year of supervisory experience.
- Municipal government finance experience strongly preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant or Certified Government Finance Officer preferred.
Under administrative direction, the Accounting Manager coordinates, manages, and monitors all accounting activities for accuracy and completeness. Performs spot audits, reconciles and appraises the accounting and financial systems, accounts, funds, records and related processes to ensure accuracy, adequate internal control, sufficient security, and compliance with governmental accounting standards.
