CRISIS SPECIALIST

Crisis Specialist Position Summary:

The Crisis Specialist is responsible for coordinating follow-ups with clients referring to treatment and developing a network of community crisis support. This is a full-time position that weekly work schedule consists of 3-4 overnight awake shifts including a Saturday or Sunday.

Job Responsibilities:

· Maintain total confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA law, CARF accreditation standards and Maryland State Regulations.

· Carry out the Crisis Stabilization Plan developed by the treatment team.

· Carry out triage on emergency mental health calls for agency on call system.

· Complete all required documentation and reports in a timely fashion.

Qualifications, Education and Experience:

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

· Current CPR and First Aid

· Valid driver's license and safe driving record.

· Formal training or significant experience in crisis interventions.

· Experience with conflict resolution and de-escalating techniques.
