Job SummaryThis position is responsible for the breakfast buffet setup, replenishing of food, cleaning, and preparing for the next day’s business
Essential Job Duties/ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each of the essential duties/responsibilities listed below. - Complete breakfast buffet setup
- Ensure food is fresh and displayed in an attractive manner per standards
- Greet guests with proper greeting (ie. Good morning, how are you today?)
- Pour coffee/juice for guests whenever possible
- Replenish food as needed, never letting buffet appear empty
- Clean tables as guests leave
- Clean any dirty dishes
- Empty trash as needed
- Keep kitchen area clean and sanitized
- Check food temperature per standards before putting on buffet line
- Bake cookies as needed
- Break down buffet after breakfast
- Put away food in proper containers and date according to standards
- Clean entire buffet and beverage area
- Clean all tables and vacuum floor
- Wash floors
- Place produce or other food orders
- Put away food, produce and other items when delivered by vendors
- Read all materials relating to breakfast and the hotel
- Communicate with manager any problems encountered during shift
- Complete any and all other duties assigned by management
- Keep food waste to a minimum
- Servicing conferences as needed by delivering coffee and food items through catering.
