Maintenance Technician

Position Summary:

The Maintenance Technician at our Ethanol Plant is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all plant equipment and systems to ensure optimal production efficiency. The role demands a proactive approach to preventative maintenance, safety compliance, and collaborative problem-solving to minimize downtime and support continuous plant operations.

Responsibilities and Duties:

· Perform all maintenance repairs of the plant on scheduled and emergency bases.

· Available to work overtime, weekends, and holidays if needed.

· Participate in plant safety, health, and environmental programs.

· Assist with installation of new equipment and projects.

· Troubleshoot and determine malfunctioning equipment such as pumps, valves, transmitters, motors, electrical equipment, pneumatics, steam systems, etc.

· Maintain and repair support equipment such as boilers, air-compressors, vacuum pumps, Turbines, cooling tower pumps, sump pumps, condensers, etc.

· Clean and lubricate parts, rolling equipment and machinery.

· Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including work orders, repair logs, and parts inventory.

· Have basic tools to perform maintenance repairs. Special tools will be provided.

· Communicate effectively and work well with others.

· Perform other duties as required by Manager/Supervisor.

· Must be familiar in LOTO, Arc Flash, Confined Space and safety rules. Training will be provided

· Ability to operate all plant equipment, (loaders, trucks, booms, man-lifts, and forklifts.

· Will be on a 7 day On-Call rotating schedule

Qualifications:

· Education: High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred.

· Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of maintenance experience in an industrial setting, preferably in an Ethanol plant or similar environment.

Skills:

Physical Qualification & Demands

· Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions (hot ,cold, noisy).

· Capable of working in confined spaces and at heights.

· Ability to lift, push, pull 70lbs.

· Ability to walk up and down stairways 20% of shift

· Work with hazardous chemicals and wear all company provided PPE.

Work Environment:

· This position involves working in a manufacturing plant environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts, electrical systems, and potentially hazardous materials. Strict adherence to safety protocols is mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.63 - $24.85 per hour
