Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and creative Cake Decorator to join our team. As a Cake Decorator, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing and delicious cakes for our customers. If you have a passion for baking and artistic flair, we would love to hear from you.
Duties:
- Decorate cakes according to customer requests, using various techniques and tools
- Create intricate designs and patterns using icing, fondant, and other decorative elements
- Ensure cakes are properly baked and cooled before decorating
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards while handling and preparing ingredients
- Package finished cakes for display or delivery
- Collaborate with the bakery team to ensure timely production of cakes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the cake decorating area
- Assist with other pastry production tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Cake Decorator or in a similar role in the food industry
- Knowledge of cake decorating techniques, including piping, sculpting, and airbrushing
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to use various tools and equipment related to cake decoration
- Strong attention to detail and artistic skills
- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Note: All positions must be paid including internship positions.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 37 per week
