- Contacting customers by phone and email to finalize collection of outstanding debts
- Maintaining professional and friendly relationships with customers while still collecting payments on time and in full
- Responding to daily account queries and inbound calls, emails and settle customer disputes and discrepancies
- Reconciling customer accounts to ensure that customer's payments are applied correctly to invoices to avoid/correct discrepancies
- Utilizing the ERP system, Business Central (a Microsoft Dynamics product), to research parts sold, parts returned, and other notes regarding the outstanding invoices
- Tracking communications and notes with customers in our ERP system
- Recording checks, credit card payments, wire payments, and other payment types into ERP
- Escalating delinquent accounts to the Controller when appropriate to involve collections attorneys
- Sending monthly statements to customers
- Communicating with sales account managers and logistics staff with regards to past due clients and account holds
- Maintaining accurate records and notes
- Associate's degree in accounting OR a minimum of 5 years' experience in accounts receivable and collections
- A/R and Collections experience is a must
- Strong understanding of billing and collection processes
