Description
Astor Services for Children and Families is seeking individuals to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment as a mental health clinician in a school based Day Treatment Program located within Dutchess County BOCES schools. Candidates will provide evidence-based individual, family, and group treatment to high school, middle, and elementary-age clients and families. In addition, candidates are responsible for all aspects of treatment planning including completing intake assessments, clinical assessments, safety planning, crisis prevention/management, and to collaborate with DC BOCES educational staff to develop an integrated plan of care for students who are placed in program through their home districts Committees on Special Education. This is an amazing opportunity to continue to learn and practice with a diverse population that experiences a variety of mental health and substance abuse related challenges. You will receive ongoing training in evidence-based practice, clinical supervision, and opportunities to receive CEUs. This position’s work schedule mirrors the New York State Department of Education with school recess vacations during the educational year. There is a 6-week summer program with a modified schedule. As children head back to school, this school recess schedule allows parents to work during the school day and be home with their children in the evening, on weekends and during school recess days. This position is a 35 hour work week and has one day that runs until 5:30pm. Licensed or permit eligible staff required- clinical supervision provided.
