Front Desk/Dental Hygienist assistant : Full Job Description

Essential functions include but are not limited to:

  • Greets patients on the phone and in person; multi-line phone system and a patient communication software called Practice Works are used in our office.
  • Schedule appointments; as well as confirm and reschedule appointments.
  • Confirm patient dental insurances and ensure they are insurances that we take in our office
  • Register new patients & assist patients in completing all necessary forms and documentation; also verify and update patients information as needed.
  • Enter all relevant patient information into our data system.
  • Communicate with referring dental offices/providers.
  • Help clean/set up Hygiene rooms after patient to assist with good patient flow for the hygienist.

Healthcare setting:

  • Dental office
  • Private practice

Schedule:

  • up to 8 hour shift sometimes a little longer
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • No nights
  • No weekends

COVID-19 considerations:

  • All patients are welcome but not required to wear a mask. Common areas sanitized frequently throughout the day.

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

  • Dental office: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Customer Service: 1 year (Required)
  • Computer Skills: 1 year (Required)

Work Location: One location

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
