RequirementsQualificationsThis position has a selective placement factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. The selective placement factor is: current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in any state, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico or Guam. You must provide a copy of your current registration with your application. In addition to the basic requirements and selective placement factor for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Conducting quality review of an installation's mechanical equipment and services (for example: to determine capabilities, service effectiveness and required operational improvements); Developing complex construction related mechanical and utility system designs; Producing proposed designs and results of studies using Utilizing AutoCAD or other mechanical engineering design/analysis software; Preparing various documents to support in house and Architect-Engineer (A&E) contracts (for example: outlines of services, scopes of work, construction estimates, calculations and engineering fee estimates and/or other documents); and Administering large scale utility construction projects to ensure compliance with applicable objective, standards, and requirements.
