South Portland School Department is Hiring an Asset Manager Near South Portland, ME

SUMMARY: This position oversees technology assets that are owned, leased or subscribed to by School Department. This position is responsible for the organization and management of student and staff directories and accounts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties may be assigned.)
Maintain accurate inventory of physical resources, including value, repair history and disposition
Maintain accurate inventory of virtual resources, such a software licenses, app purchases, subscriptions
Implements and monitors asset programs/systems
Prepare reports to accurately reflect the state of the School Department’s assets
Stay current with trends in asset management
Deploy apps, e-books, and software for all device types
Assist the Informational Technology Department with administrative tasks such as, but not limited to, accounting, grant writing, and purchasing
Maintain directories and organizational units of students and employees in both active directory and G-Suite
Establish manuals and procedures
Troubleshoot and resolve device issues
Process devices upon intake, decommissioning, distribution and repair
Assist Technology Department in other projects as determined by the Director of Technology
Prepare, distribute, file records/reports, correspondence, mailings, etc.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor or Associates Degree or equivalent college and/or previous experience or training in computer programming and/or asset database management desired
Extraordinary organization skills and attention to detail required
Asset/resource management experience preferred
Experience with mobile device management (MDM) tools preferred
Strong interpersonal, technical, and organizational skills
Ability to work with others in a support capacity
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Proficiency with spreadsheet applications
Demonstrated skills to assist IT Department with tasks such as accounting, grant writing, report preparation, and additional administrative tasks
Ability to use a variety of productivity software solutions (G-Suite or Microsoft)

Pay: $58,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
