HUB Veterinary Group is Hiring a Veterinary Assistant Near Port Chester, NY

HUB Veterinary Group is seeking Veterinary Assistants and Technicians to join our newly established private practice located in Port Chester, NY. HUB is a hybrid General Practice and Urgent Care hospital. As a newly established veterinary hospital, we are dedicated to setting new standards in veterinary medicine and delivering outstanding service to our clients and their beloved pets.

As a Veterinary Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our veterinarians, licensed technicians, and support staff in providing high-quality care for our patients. Whether you have previous experience in the field or are just starting your journey in veterinary medicine, we welcome you to join our team and contribute to the health and well-being of the animals in our care. Responsibilities Include but not limited to :

  • Assisting veterinarians and technicians in providing care for animal patients, including restraining animals during examinations and procedures.
  • Preparing examination rooms and medical equipment for procedures.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing equipment and facilities to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
  • Monitoring and recording vital signs of patients.
  • Assisting with diagnostic procedures, such as radiography and laboratory testing.
  • Administering medications as directed by veterinarians or technicians.
  • Providing compassionate care and attention to patients and their owners.
  • Maintaining accurate medical records and updating patient information.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, veterinarians, and team members.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
  • Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to lift and restrain animals of various sizes and breeds.
