As an Inventory Accountant you are a expert with regards to the controls and costs associated with the inventory process. Responsible for ensuring inventory efficiency measures and in minimizing inventory related risks. Handles accurate, timely and complete recording of inventories.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Compile and analyze data for weekly/monthly inventory receipts, invoiced, and consumed.
• Review cycle and mid-cycle counts to check for unexpected variances and fluctuations.
• Collaborating with Operations on inventory variances and inventory audits.
• Assist Operations in maintaining inventory databases and systems.
• Coordinating with Operations to account for changes to inventory prices and adjustments.
• Create and update monthly account reconciliations for all inventory products and accounts in accordance to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and company policies.
• Assist Controller on audit-related tasks on inventory.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives impacting inventory accounting processes.

Required/Preferred Education & Experience

• Prior inventory accounting experience.
• MS Excel proficiency – lookups & pivot tables
• Numerical and analytical skills.
• Organization skills, attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficient communication skills to work with various departments.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
