Job DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY:Oversees the construction activities on behalf of the project Owner as the senior on-site Company representative. Maintains client and home office relationships and ensures compliance with contractual obligations by the subcontractor(s) for the construction of a medium to large. Responsible for compliance with the site safety and security program(s), the site quality control program(s), implementation and adherence to AWP program, interface management, coordination of resources and staffing, construction progress and cost control.
ResponsibilitiesRESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Leader of the Construction Management Team
  • Serve as lead project owner construction representative to oversee construction field activities.
  • Manages as staff of direct reports for project oversight in the areas of field construction, field engineering, safety, quality, and other field project support activities.
  • Champion for site safety programs and site quality programs. Regularly conducts safety meetings and provides assistance to subcontractor(s) in addressing areas and conditions requiring attention.
  • Responsible for AWP implementation and measurement for the project.
  • Supervises the development of project schedules and monitors production to assure timely project ‎completion‎.
  • Reviews cost reports and makes analysis to assist in reducing costs and maintaining productivity.
  • Conducts regular project inspections and advises project Owner of work progress‎, ‎quality of ‎work and safety performance‎.
  • Coordinates work with subcontractors to ensure all subcontract work is within project scope and ‎specifications‎ as well as ensuring subcontracts adhere to project policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates with engineers‎, ‎inspectors‎, ‎and other client‎/‎owner representatives to isolate project problems ‎and assists in developing solutions‎.
  • Responsible for minimizing and negotiating change orders by subcontract‎or(s).
  • Conducts regular meetings with subcontractor(s) to review project progress, manage interfaces between subcontractor(s) and to plan future ‎construction activity‎.
  • Determines the necessity of construction equipment while assuring the assets and resources are properly maintained.
  • Serve as owner construction reps to oversee construction field activities aimed at ensuring safety, quality control, schedule adherence
QualificationsJOB REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma
  • Min of 10-15 years of EPC/EPCM industrial construction experience as Project Manager or Construction Manager
  • Strong analytic skills
  • Strong Interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of of a project or project Owner’s team.
  • Ability to reason & problem solve construction challenges in tandem with Zachry partners and General Contractors
  • Must demonstrate solid knowledge and understanding of various subcontract Agreement scenarios including lump sum, reimbursable and unit rate with experience in change/claim management.
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Must understand the importance of schedule attainment, cost control, and change management
  • Experience managing and leading work teams in a field construction environment
  • Microsoft experience (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Plan and perform complex work where only limited or general policies or procedures are available
  • Full and ongoing compliance with and adherence to all vaccination requirements, as may be established by the company from time to time or by or for a particular job site
  • Must be open to US remote job sites
Preferred:
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent for a two- or four-year college/technical school
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Employee will be required to communicate in person, via telephone, email, video chat and software systems. Position will be based from an on-site office on construction sites and industrial facilities requiring mobility (on ground and at heights) and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, safety vests, gloves and work boots
WORK ENVIRONMENT:Employee will work in multiple environments including an office, warehouse and in a trailer or building on construction sites. On construction sites noise levels will be moderate to high. Job site will contain - light to heavy equipment vehicles, small to large equipment, materials, communication equipment and tools, people standing, walking, sitting, signaling and talking, bells whistles and alarms.
