Our Marketing and Creative Services teams support many of our brands, including KraftMaid, Merillat, Medallion, and Schuler. The Manager, Supply Chain (Multi-Family) is responsible for Supply Planning, Buying, Warehousing, Receiving, and Inventory Control for the Thompsontown, PA cabinet manufacturing plant. This key employee also drives and supports corresponding continuous improvement activities at the site. PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides strategic planning, direction, and oversight for all aspects of supply chain supporting the business needs and future direction of the Thompsontown, PA site. Interfaces and collaborates effectively with all related stakeholders and CWG corporate functions (strategic sourcing, logistics, planning) Efficiently and effectively manage site inventory to improve inventory turnover / cash management. Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Coordinate with procurement, production, and engineering departments to ensure adequate supply and efficient movement of materials. Ensure at least 99% accuracy of cycle count program. Review production schedules to ensure the availability of materials as established for each commodity in the plant. Actively participate in Gemba walks at the site level. Participate in the development and implementation of systems which measure, track, and analyze supplier and material effectiveness, price, and reliability. Manage, train, provide performance feedback and assign duties of direct reports to ensure productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness. Identify and support lean / continuous improvement efforts and ensure that corrective actions are implemented for logistics-related deviations or unfavorable performance. Selects, develops, and evaluates staff to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Collaborate with leadership team on projects to drive efficiency improvements. Ensure timely and accurate receiving processes incl. managing the corresponding interface with Finance. Facilitate Ease mobile auditing platform to perform layered process audits and safety audits. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: BS/BA in Logistics or Supply Chain Management or 10 years of equivalent professional experience with solid career progression. 5-10 years materials and/or inventory management experience in a manufacturing environment. 3-5 years of leadership experience. Demonstrates problem-solving abilities and analytical skills to identify problems and come up with solutions to solve them. Adept at ERP (e.g. Oracle, SAP, Frontier) and big data analytics. Excellent computer skills required, including Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Excel. Fundamental knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen activities and Six Sigma processes. Ability to understand and analyze financial data associated with plant operations. Strong attention to detail and follow-through. Demonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with cross-functional business teams. Demonstrated successful ability to perform accurate work under the pressures of tight schedules. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization. Travel up to 10%. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: MBA. ASCM certification (e.g. CSCP or CPIM). Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt Certification or comparable problem-solving certification. Familiarity with the cabinet industry and product. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Sitting for Extended Periods: The nature of the job involves sitting at a desk or workstation for extended periods while performing administrative tasks, using a computer, and engaging in various in-office activities. Computer Use: Proficient use of a computer, including typing, mouse manipulation, and viewing a computer screen for extended periods is essential. Manual Dexterity: Ability to use office equipment such as phones, photocopiers, fax machines, and printers. This may require fine motor skills and dexterity. Lifting and Carrying: Occasional lifting and carrying of office supplies, documents, and other materials, typically not exceeding a certain weight limit (e.g., 20 pounds). Mobility: Ability to move within the office environment to access filing cabinets, printers, and other office equipment. Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders directly in person or via electronic communication. Visual Acuity: Ability to read printed and electronic documents, as well as distinguish colors, for tasks such as proofreading and reviewing documents. Multitasking: The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize work effectively, which may require mental agility and adaptability.
