At this time, SCI is recruiting highly qualified candidates whose background and career goals meet our needs for the following position in Huntsville, AL. Please note that due to Department of Defense contract requirements, U.S. CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:
Designs, modifies and manages activities for all repair, upgrade and production efforts from inception through sustainment plans to support all process functions including creation of product work instructions, work flow routes and efficiency improvements across all areas of responsibility. Duties may include initial sustainment spares design collaboration, overseeing qualification events, layout of production and repair processes as well as defining full long term sustainment processes and plans. Serves as the central resource
with the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, and product development groups; as the product(s) move to completion and distribution. Provides engineering support to other departments, as needed; working in conjunction with coworkers, including junior engineers and techs, and perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
• Candidate must be a US Citizen
• 5 years minimum engineering experience; 7 years Electronics Manufacturing experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Relevant Bachelor’s degree plus 5 or more years’ practical experience in Manufacturing engineering in lieu of engineering degree.
• Strong computer skills to include MS Office Suite, CAD/ CAM tools. SolidWorks considered a plus.
• Solid written/verbal business communication skills.
