WHO we’re looking for:
We are looking for a Business Continuity Manager who will be responsible for enhancing ourbusiness continuity planning and emergency planning across the entire organization, as the number of work locations continues to increase. Responsible for necessitating a comprehensive approach and implementation to business continuity and emergency planning for successful operations when faced with an emergency.
The ideal candidate in this role will have a degree inbusiness continuity and/or emergency planning and be able to readily createfrom the ground up a business continuity plan that applies to both traditionaloffice locations as well as warehouse locations.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Maintain and/or create the business continuity managementprogram incorporating business continuity, disaster recovery, and incident/crisis management.
- Workwith cross-department support staff to develop, maintain, and execute incidentmanagement procedures.
- Overseethe development and execution of disaster recovery testing, ensuring thatcritical business applications/ services can be promptly resumed in the eventof disruption.
- Helpdevelop and test business continuity plans, ensuring plans are periodicallyupdated and improved.
- Conductrisk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities to recovercapabilities and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
- Communicateand coordinate business continuity procedures across various organizationalunits to foster a culture of preparedness and responsiveness.
- Ensurethat the BCM Program aligns with regulatory requirements and guidelines andwork with cross-departmental staff to respond, in kind, to audits, assessments,and questionnaires.
- Analyzeweekly and monthly metrics, benchmark milestones, and program progress to theBusiness continuity leadership.
Required Experience and Education:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in BCP and a successful track record leading thoseefforts.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution inBusiness Continuity Planning, Emergency Management, Business Administration,Industrial Engineering, Risk Management, Public Health, Homeland Security or arelated field.
- BCPor EP Professional Certifications strongly preferred or the ability to obtainand may be substituted for strong employment background.
- Familiarity with regulatory Business ContinuityManagement guidelines in multiple regions.
- Provenrecord of developing and implementing BCP programs and monitoring theireffectiveness.
Necessary Skills and Attributes:
- Self-motivated individual with the ability to thrive in a team-based or independent environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organization skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Limited supervision and the exercise of discretion.
- Proficiencyin using Everbridge or other similar critical incident notification systems ishighly recommended.
- Stronganalytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledgeof various BCM software is a plus.
- Strongwritten and verbal skills necessary to build relationships and positivelyinfluence decision-making.
- Ability to analyze the needs, and create comprehensive plans and successfullyimplement those plans.
- Abilityto travel as needed across the United States to our various sites(approximately 25% possible 1-2 times a month)

Requires considerable (90% ) work utilizing high visual acuity/detail, numeric/character distinction, and moderate hand/finger dexterity.
Performs work under time schedules and stress which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive deadlines, intellectual challenge, some language barriers, and project management deadlines. May require working additional time beyond normal schedule and periodic travel.
