Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our animal patients. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals passionate about animal health and welfare.
Duties:
- Assist veterinarians in performing medical procedures and surgeries
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Take and develop X-rays
- Perform laboratory tests and analyze results
- Monitor vital signs of animals during procedures and recovery
- Provide post-operative care and monitoring
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment plans
- Assist with animal handling and restraint
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the veterinary clinic
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following skills and qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician or similar role preferred
- Proficiency in X-ray imaging and interpretation
- Knowledge of animal physiology and veterinary critical care
- Familiarity with animal husbandry practices
- Ability to handle dogs & cats of all sizes confidently and safely
- Strong understanding of animal handling techniques and restraint methods
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology and medical procedures
- Experience with animal catheterization is a plus
