Our team is looking for an
Engineering Technician to join them. You will report to the
Site Lead and will have an
onsite work schedule in
Plainview, NY. Centroid is looking for a highly skilled individual capable of managing engineering, quality, and manufacturing documentation throughout the lifecycle of a large array of manufacturing projects. The applicant should be detail oriented and have a solid understanding of documentation flow and management during all phases of product development:
- Pre-production design Documentation.
- Engineering and Quality Test Plan Documentation.
- Production Documentation maintenance and archiving procedures.
- Change Notification Processing and Release procedures.
- Production and Quality conformance and tracking documentation.
The applicant should have experience with: (2-4 years' experience and/or a combination of education with a degree in a technical subject matter). - Database management, file format conversion
- Data entry using common tools/formats including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Graphics files.
- Additionally, the ability to interpret and review detailed engineering documents sourced from both 3rd party OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) and Centroid databases would be advantageous.
- Typical documentation that falls under the applicant's responsibility is listed below:
- Mechanical Drawings
- Top Level assemblies
- Subassemblies
- Test Specifications (Production and Quality Test Acceptance Procedures)
- Electrical Engineering Drawings
- Schematics
- Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Fabrication Drawings
- PCB Fabrication packages (Gerber files/artwork)
- Pre-production and Production level Bill-of-Materials
- Conversion from OEM to Centroid formats
- Software (Firmware) Data for applicable products.
- Source Code and Released binaries.
- SW definition documentation (if applicable).
- Procedures for programming HW (pre and/or postproduction).
Additional desirable skills would include: - Mechanical Design/Drafting experience - specifically creation/alteration/format conversions using mechanical CAD tools such as AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.
- Mechanical design concepts such as drafting standards, tolerance analysis, and drawing interpretation would be a beneficial skill.
