We are hiring for the position of Area Manager, who will be responsible for overseeing multiple retail locations.

Job Overview:

An Area Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations and financial success of multiple retail stores. Candidates for this leadership role must be highly motivated, have excellent organization and communication skills, and be experienced in working in a sales-driven and customer-orientated environment.

This is a full-time position that involves working in our stores 4 to 5 days per week with your staff, as well as independently. Candidates shall have open availability and flexibility to work outside traditional business hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays, when necessary to meet the needs of the business.

Position Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include management of sales, personnel, visual merchandising, operations, and administrative duties, as outlined below:

• Sales: monitor staff sales presentations to ensure opportunities are being maximized (product demos, asking right questions, making suggestions, informing about company, add-on sales), provide feedback & coaching, send out weekly sales reports to stores
• Personnel: lead and motivate your team to achieve performance goals. As well as hiring, onboarding, training, on-going training, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and creating work schedules
• Visual Merchandising: Verify visual merchandising standards are being met per store (displays are fully stocked, testers are full and clean, signs are in order, all inventory is displayed). Change store window and interior displays per season/holiday/event
• Operations: inventory management, store visit reviews, ensure that sales floors and backstock rooms are clean, organized, functional, and without safety issues.
• Administrative Duties: order office supplies for stores, obtain vendor estimates if any repairs are needed in stores, manage deposits/banking and financial paperwork

Physical Requirements:

• Lift and carry up to 40 pounds
• Able to stand for extended periods
• Dexterity of hands and fingers
• Able to walk, stoop, crouch, kneel, reach with hands and arms, twist, balance, and bend at waist
• Ability to climb a step stool or ladder to stock or acquire product for sale
• Not sensitive to smells and fragrances

Qualifications:

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team
• Outstanding sales and training abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently, plan, organize and execute objectives
• Reliable transportation
• Minimum 3 years of business/management experience
• Specialty and independent retailer experience a plus
• Proficient in MS office including Excel and Word
• Successful completion of our training program within two weeks of hire
