Responsibilities:
- Handle incoming driver requests promptly and efficiently, providing assistance and answering questions as needed.
- Open daily repair orders and collaborate closely with technicians to ensure timely and accurate completion of repairs. Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for this aspect of the role.
- Possess a working knowledge of Transman, with VRMS coding knowledge considered a bonus.
- Maintain a courteous and positive attitude at all times, prioritizing effective communication with both drivers and technicians.
- Demonstrate strong multitasking abilities and organizational skills to thrive in a fast-paced shop environment.
- Proficiency in using computers and accurate typing skills are essential.
- Complete required documentation and reports in a timely manner, including Inspection Reports for DOT and addressing any DOT violations promptly.
- Consistently meet commitments and deadlines to ensure the smooth operation of the maintenance facility.
- Prior experience as a service writer preferred, with TMT experience considered advantageous.
- Strong mechanical knowledge is beneficial for collaborating with technicians on repair orders.
- Familiarity with Transman and VRMS coding is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to multitask effectively and stay organized in a high-paced environment.
- Proficiency in computer usage and accurate typing skills.
- Commitment to meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality service consistently.
Due to the collaborative nature of the work environment, the spontaneous need for idea generation and execution, and the potential for expedited remediations, responses, or information gathering, in-person, in-office attendance is an essential function of this position
