Western Express is Hiring a Parts Manager Near Plainfield, CT
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage inventory for the Service Center, including ordering and receiving parts.
- Utilize reporting tools to monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock for repairs needed.
- Maintain accurate accounting for all inventory received and distributed.
- Manage the day-to-day duties and performance of parts associates, including setting goals and expectations and providing feedback.
- Perform weekly cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Conduct monthly/quarterly inventory audits to minimize parts adjustments and value discrepancies.
- Prior experience in parts and inventory management is required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential; experience with TMT (Transman) and Synergize software is advantageous.
- Ability to manage others effectively, including setting and managing to goals and expectations.
- Weekly cycle counts performed accurately.
- Monthly/quarterly inventory audits resulting in less than 2.5% parts adjusted and 1.5% parts value adjusted.
