Provides administrative support to the Environmental Health section’s programs with Environmental Health Services, On-Site Water Protection, and Food/Lodging/Institution Program. Each program requires assistance through data capture and compilation, monitoring onsite wastewater systems per 15A NCAC 18E, collection of water samples as mandated, and food handler education. This position is responsible for tracking, documenting, and reporting requirements related to the monitoring of subsurface onsite wastewater systems in Chatham County. The position participates in tracking, assisting with sampling as needed, and documenting and reporting requirements related to the wells in Chatham County, as well as participates in the coordination of the food handler education program and all subsequent in-service food handler education programs in Chatham County.
Associates degree in a science-related or business-related field and one year of experience which demonstrates the required knowledge and abilities to perform administrative office work and field activities.
