Job Overview:
Little Learners is seeking a dedicated and experienced Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. As a Teacher, you will be responsible for creating and implementing engaging lesson plans, providing care and support to students, and contributing to the development of our curriculum. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and a strong background in working with children.
Responsibilities:
- Help with development and implementation of age-appropriate lesson plans that align with curriculum objectives
- Provide a nurturing and safe environment for students
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
- Utilize learning technology to enhance instruction
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure effective communication and coordination
- Support students with special needs, including those on the autism spectrum, through behavioral therapy techniques
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of students with hearing impairments or other disabilities
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and behavior
- Ensure compliance with all child welfare regulations
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Experience in lesson planning and curriculum development
- Ability to effectively use learning technology in the classroom
- Experience working with students with autism or other special needs
- Familiarity with behavioral therapy techniques
- Knowledge of deaf education strategies is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with children
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
-North Carolina Early Childhood Credential (NCECC) preferred
- Previous Experience working with infants and toddlers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- CPR and First Aid Certification
