Job Duties
- Teach both face-to-face, hybrid, and on-line classes, creating & maintaining an
- Utilize the Learning Management System (Blackboard) to support classroom instruction.
- The faculty member is expected to develop, assess, and revise curriculum.
- Mentor students in curriculum and career choices.
- Use effective teaching methodologies and regularly update course content.
- Provide accurate and informative syllabi to communicate student expectations and
work completed.
- Actively recruit, advise, and mentor students, maintaining regular office hours.
- Serve on college committees and participate in college events and activities, provide
pursue leadership opportunities.
- Assist with departmental activities and pursue continued scholarly growth and
- To meet enrollment needs, faculty members may occasionally work on a different campus
- The faculty member will be expected to teach introductory Communication courses such
Intercultural Communication, or other Communication classes as needed.
- Other duties may be assigned based on institutional need.
Preferred QualificationsMaster’s degree in Communication with college-level teaching experience, including experience in teaching on-line and using Blackboard are preferred
