Responsibilities : *Safely & efficiently operate CNC horizontal & vertical machining centers.*Read & understand drawings / prints required for the assigned job.
- Prepare machine & submit pieces for first article inspection prior to production run.*Inspect pieces during production using proper measuring devices to ensure a quality product.
- Monitor tool wear & change tooling as required.*Adjust tooling or machine offsets to maintain proper sizes & tolerances.
- Set-up machine for various jobs using set-up sheets.*Keep a neat, clean & orderly work area.Requirements : *Able to reliably commute.
- 4-5 years" experience as a CNC operator on horizontal & vertical machining centers.*Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Knowledge of basic machining.*Mechanical ability.*Able to read drawings / prints.*Good communication skills.*Able to follow verbal & written instructions.
- Ability to work alone & within a team.*Basic math skills.*High school diploma.Experience*Familiarity with Mazak CNC machines.
- Basic understanding of conversational programming.*Certificate or diploma with regards to machining or machining technology.
- Has own tools.*Successfully completed apprenticeship program.
