The Position
Reporting to the Director of Investment Operations and Risk Management and playing an integral role on a growing team, Bryn Mawr College is seeking an Investment Operations Analyst to join the Investment Office (“IO”) and its highly collaborative and supportive four-person team based in New York City.
The recently established IO is presented with a unique opportunity to design and build an Operations ecosystem from the ground up. The candidate will be tasked with supporting systems (data maintenance for tech coverage gaps, data quality control) while also being supported by it (automation of processes and functionality). Core responsibilities will be operationally focused, and the candidate will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a broad range of responsibilities across investment operations in an entrepreneurial environment. He/she will lead cash and NAV reconciliations; be responsible for accurate cash projections to support portfolio management rebalancing efforts and cash management, among other recurring tasks. The candidate may be assigned ad hoc projects and called upon to support general and broader office administrative tasks.
The $1.2 billion* endowment is stewarded by an Investment Committee of the Board of Trustees and contributes approximately one-third of the College’s annual operating revenues. Guided by the Committee’s policies, the College invests across a widely diversified set of asset classes. A successful candidate, over time, will be supported in their ability to learn other systems and develop data visualization skills that will enable the candidate to become more value-add in their engagement with the data.
