Assist our Child Development Center and Lab with the supervision and teaching of children ages six weeks to ten years of age with daily care routines and implementation of age appropriate lessons and activities aligned with best practice, state licensing rules and regulatory and accreditation standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assist in the planning, supervision, and implementation of age appropriate activities aligned with Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards and NAEYC accreditation standards for the afternoon program during the academic school year and full day during the summer months.
2. Model ethical and appropriate best practices as an EC professional for CDC children, families, and ECE students.
3. Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and mandated state licensing regulations of the CDC including proper storage of materials, and sanitation of classroom equipment and materials.
4. Document, initiate and maintain communication with parents about child's progress as directed by Lead Teacher.
5. Maintain current professional and technical knowledge in the field through professional education and activities.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
The Teacher Assistant will support our Child Development Center and Lab; and is available to start immediately.
This position is Full-time/40 hours per week.
Typical hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
