Marshall Concrete is a privately owned business looking to hire a Concrete Finisher. Our business runs with a dedicated concrete construction crew that are hard-working, reliable, honest and are team players. We specialize in medium to large-scale concrete construction projects, including commercial, government, and residential sectors. We are committed to providing a work environment that keeps morale positive and ensures high quality workmanship.

General Needs -

• Prior construction experience is preferred.
• Must be punctual and dependable.
• Must be able to work Monday through Friday with weekends as needed during busy season.
• Able to tolerate and work in variable weather conditions, tight trenching and dirty and dusty environments.

Job Duties -

• Set stringline to marked grade stakes for flatwork and curb/gutter.
• Wet screed concrete to laser grades with ability to see and eliminate water pockets.
• Place and finish hand stacked curb and gutter. Place and finish flatwork.
• Knowledge of use of following tools: Darby, walking edger, hand joiner, vibrator, power trowel, cut off saw.
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned including ability to lift and/ or carry 50 lbs.

Location -

Projects will vary in location (main yard is located in Petoskey, MI), therefore, reliable transportation and a willingness to travel to any job site, is required as needed. Our projects are generally located throughout mid-northern Michigan.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Weekends as needed
