Since their inception, our camps have offered outdoor experiences, theater, and the arts with an emphasis on community participation. We know how to have fun, and nothing exemplifies our spirit like our summer day camp programs! We aim to extract every bit of excitement and adventure from the long summer days. Our camps serve children ages 3 to 14.
Our camp will have a staff consisting of one Camp Director and several Camp Counselors. Our Staff is the backbone of our programs and therefore, we pride ourselves in giving them an incredible amount of support.
As a Camp Counselor, you will be a part of the team! You will be an active participant in all camp activities. You will assist the Camp Director with various daily tasks, all to create a memorable and meaningful camp experience for your campers. Our Counselors interact with our campers throughout the entire day, helping them make friends, try new things, and generally caring for their well-being. The role of a Counselor is to participate, build relationships, and have fun while ensuring the physical and emotional safety of every child.
Camp Counselor Positions Available:
Lead Counselor: 18 years old with two years of camp counseling experience or 20 with no prior camp experience.
Counselor In Training: 16-18 years old
Junior Counselor In Training: 14-15 years old
Lifeguard: Must be 16 years old. We will pay for certification for the right person.
Camp Counselor Qualifications:
Prior experience working with children
Ability to work with children to help them grow in character, experiences, and insights
Ability to guard the health and well-being of campers at all times
Enthusiastic, responsible, dependable, level-headed, flexible, and calm in all situations
Ability to be outside everyday hiking, paddling, and recreating alongside our campers
CPR/First Aid certified OR willing to become certified before the summer begins
Outdoor leadership experience preferred
Water Safety or Lifeguard certified preferred.
Camp Counselor Responsibilities:
Work with a group of campers and provide a fun, safe, and exciting camp experience
Cooperate with fellow Counselors and Camp Director
Greet families and campers upon arrival
Support Camp Director in establishing rules and emergency procedures with campers
Participate in all camp activities
Help out where needed and lead activities when asked by the Camp Director
Our camp is located at 36 Well School Road, Peterborough NH 03458. counselors must be available to work the full camp week season, from June 14 through August 20. Our camps are day camps that run Monday through Friday.
