Job Opportunity: RN - Medical-Surgical (Peoria, IL)
Position: Immediately need an experienced RN - Med/Surg for the 3 months of the contract.
Details:
Title: RN - Med/Surg
Duration: 13 weeks (Extendable)
Shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. 12 hours. 3 days a week.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of recent Med/Surg experience.
- Active license in IL state.
- COVID Vaccinated.
- BLS / CPR Preferred.
Duties:
- Provide direct patient care in a medical/surgical setting.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to create individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention and management.
- Assist with procedures such as phlebotomy, IV infusion, and wound care.
- Utilize eClinicalWorks or similar electronic health record systems for documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Nursing.
- Valid RN license in the state of practice.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical/surgical nursing.
- Proficiency in acute pain management and airway management.
- Experience with IV infusion and phlebotomy.
- Familiarity with ophthalmology and sonography procedures is a plus.
- Understanding of workers' compensation laws related to healthcare.
