Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable SAT/ACT Tutor to join our team and help students achieve their college admission goals. As an SAT/ACT Tutor, you will provide one-on-one or small group instruction to high school students preparing for the SAT or ACT exams. Your role is to develop customized lesson plans, teach test-taking strategies, and foster an engaging learning environment that motivates students to reach their highest potential.

Duties:

• Individualized Instruction: Provide personalized tutoring sessions tailored to each student's specific strengths and weaknesses in SAT/ACT subjects.
• Curriculum Development: Design and implement effective lesson plans that cover all sections of the SAT/ACT, including Math, Evidence-Based Reading and Writing, and optional Essay.
• Test-Taking Strategies: Teach students effective test-taking techniques, time management skills, and strategies for handling different question types.
• Progress Monitoring: Assess students' progress through regular practice tests and provide constructive feedback to guide improvement.
• Resource Management: Utilize a variety of educational resources and materials to enhance learning and engagement.
• Motivation and Support: Encourage and motivate students to achieve their academic goals, building their confidence and reducing test anxiety.
• Communication: Maintain open communication with students and parents regarding progress and areas needing improvement.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Advanced degrees or specialized certifications in education are a plus.
• Experience: Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, specifically with SAT/ACT preparation. A track record of helping students achieve significant score improvements is highly desirable.

• Strong knowledge of SAT/ACT content and format.
