Thursday - Saturday - 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Sunday - Thursday - 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Monday - Friday - 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Responsibilities

  • Increases access to evidence-based treatment for clients of New Jersey with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health disorders.
  • Meets with the clients for coaching at least weekly during the first six (6) months and then monthly in the remaining six (6) months.
  • Provides education and awareness with substance use disorders.
  • Provides recovery support for clients throughout their continuum of care and into the community for up to one year.
  • Provides Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) social skill interventions, and support for patients to gain the necessary adaptive skills to be successful in recovery.
  • Assists the clients implement their recovery plans, connects them to services and self-help groups, and supports positive behavioral change.
  • Helps clients cope with stressful situations that could lead to relapse.
  • Assists clients progress through the stages of change to alter high-risk behaviors, model effective problem-solving skills, and provide on-going monitoring.
  • Stay in engaged with clients and provide support where needed.
  • Develop and collect project data plan.
  • Implement GPRA at intake, discharge, and at the six (6) month mark of recovery.
  • Performs related duties as required.

Requirements

  • Associate degree preferred, High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience working in a drug treatment non-profit environment with demonstrable results.
  • Valid driver’s license and car insurance is required. An MVR check will be completed.
  • If recovering, must have at least two (2) years of continuous sobriety and maintain sobriety throughout employment.
