Job SummaryWork Shift1 - First Shift
Are you the type of person who wants to help Vermeer inventors protect innovation? In this role you will be responsible for research and drafting of invention disclosures/drawings to support Vermeer technology goals and intellectual property interests. We’re looking for a collaborator with strong technical and communication skills.
What You’ll Do
- Review and prepare summaries of inventions, in collaboration with engineering and IP teams. 2. Prepare models, technical drawings, and written descriptions required for invention disclosures and patent applications.
- Assist in conducting patent and competitive research.
- Preparation of claim charts and other patent analysis as directed by Intellectual Property Counsel/Patent Agent(s).
- Assist Intellectual Property Counsel in review of intellectual property positions for the business and assist the Segments’ Engineering and Product Development personnel on how to shape future development.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Agriculture, or Electrical Engineering or other related field with two years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to analyze, prepare and lead discussions and review of product positioning with internal team members.
- Ability to draft and prepare detailed, written technical documents.
- Ability to liaise with various groups of stakeholders within the business to synthesize complex information into work product.
- Occasional travel is anticipated.
