We are currently seeking a Scale Clerk for our Pearl River, LA plant on early day shift.. In this role you will support a positive safety culture by directing the activities and staff within a dredge environment that is regulated by MSHA safety standards. As a Scale Clerk, you will Operate scales, weigh trucks/loads at various locations.

What you'll do:

• Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations.
• Produce accurate computer printed scale tickets for trucks.
• Assist customers with purchase decisions.
• Respond to customer questions and telephone calls.
• Assist loaders and haulers when needed.
• Maintain cash, COD records and daily reports.
• Miscellaneous office work and scale/scale house maintenance.
• Assure correct weight and correct product out of pit.
• Provide aggregate dispatch and customer service.

• Basic computer skills and proficient math skills.
• Self-motivated and organized.
• Excellent customer service skills to ALL.
• Detail oriented, reliable and the ability to get along with coworkers at all levels of the organization and truck drivers.
• Good verbal communication and listening skills.
• Must be able to handle and perform under pressure from multiple demands.
• Must be able to work irregular hours, weekends and overtime.
• Must be willing to travel to multiple locations when needed.
• Applicants considered for hire are required to have the ability to pass the post offer physical examination and a pre-employment drug screen and obtain a Weightmaster License.
• Applicants must have a clear DWI conviction record for a period of 5 years prior to being eligible for hire.
• Reliable transportation.
• Knowledge of trucking industry and dispatching.
• Bilingual a plus.
