Analogic Corporation is Hiring a Senior RF Engineer Near Peabody, MA
Responsibilities And Duties
- Design part/all of PCB-level RF, analog and power electronic circuits to meet product specification and cost requirements
- Collaborates with mechanical engineering, firmware, software, and PCB design teams to yield outstanding new products
- Able to identify and troubleshoot fundamental design issues
- Comfortable working in a lab environment to assemble, solder, test, and troubleshoot the design
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a development team to achieve the project goals
- Fosters innovative thinking within the group by initiating continuous improvement discussions on all aspects of product design and development
- Maintains awareness of new component developments and emerging technologies. Uses and recommends them for new designs where appropriate to achieve cost, performance, and size goals
- Tests and validates existing RF circuitry
- Willingness and openness to learn new concepts and apply it to new designs
- Sc. in Electrical Engineering (MSEE is a plus), with 6 years of established RF design experience.
- Strong RF circuit design fundamentals/experience
- Experience with RF power amplifier designs from milliwatts, mW, to kilowatts, kW, of RF power
- Able to use test equipment such as oscilloscope, network analyzers, signal generators, power meters and spectrum analyzers
- Power amplifier design experience in LF/HF/VHF frequencies (mainly 0.5 MHz – 150 MHz range)
- Analog circuit design experience
- Strong background and experience in impedance matching, transmission line transformers and knowledge of radio wave propagation fundamentals
- Experience with all phases of PCB design flow – specification, schematic capture and layout. The candidate should be able to create their own design schematic
- Working knowledge of PCB design tools (Orcad Capture, CADENCE)
- Experience with RF simulation tools, Ansys HFSS is a plus
- ORCAD Pspice circuit simulation experience is highly desirable
- Able to develop documentation for own design
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Work Conditions And EnvironmentWork is in an office and lab environment. As such, work will involve interaction with high levels of AC/DC voltage and current and high levels of RF power. Position is also required to have basic soldering and assembly skills.
TravelOccasional travel could be expected, can be international. Must be able to obtain a passport and visas.
