Osage Nation Health Center is Hiring a PARALEGAL I Near Pawhuska, OK

The Staff Paralegal will provide high quality paralegal services for Osage Nation Family Violence Prevention Department clients requiring an attorney. The Staff Paralegal will attend all hearings, assist with preparing petitions, compile documentation, and work with the Court Advocate and Staff Attorney to provide comprehensive legal services in family/domestic, protective order, and civil cases.

  • Certification or associate’s degree in paralegal studies (bachelor’s degree is preferred)
  • 3 years’ experience as a paralegal required
  • Experience with domestic violence and sexual assault court cases preferred
  • Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality at all times
  • Must be CPR certified
  • Working knowledge legal database software
  • Experience in preparing legal reports
  • Must be HIPAA and Privacy Act trained
  • Must be flexible in nature and able to work as part of a team
  • Must maintain a professional attitude and appearance that positively represents the Nation
  • Requires a high level of personal integrity and ethics
  • Requires a high level of problem-solving skills
  • Requires willingness and ability to learn new skills, including travel to conferences and training sessions
  • Requires ability to use Microsoft Office Suite programs
  • Requires good interpersonal communication and team work skills
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check to include fingerprinting
  • Must be able to pass drug/alcohol testing
  • Must have a valid driver’s license – may be required to drive GSA or Osage Nation vehicles
