Saint Paul, MN | Direct Hire | $100k - $120kKonik is partnering with a local manufacturing company that is seeking a Director of Operations to lead their team. This is a great opportunity to work with a local company that started 100 years ago! The Director of Operations will be responsible for leading and managing all operational activities related to the manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, and quality control. You will be a critical part of ensuring that the business operates efficiently and effectively. You will be charged with implementing process improvements and driving operational efficiencies. They are looking for an excellent leader that is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and enjoys leading with compassion and enthusiasm.
What you would be doing:
  • Develop and implement strategic plans and operational policies to meet business objectives.
  • Plan and oversee the day-to-day business to ensure smooth progress in manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, quality control, inventory management, safety, shipping and receiving.
  • Supervise staff from different departments and provide constructive feedback. Provide guidance and support to the team.
  • Determine and implement key performance metrics (KPIs) and identify areas for improvement while recognizing progress in performance.
  • Manage the procurement processes - coordinate material and resources allocation. Ensure good relationships with vendors, suppliers, and external partners for a reliable supply chain.
  • Oversee customer support processes and organize them to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and manage operations budget. Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability.
  • Revise and/or formulate policies and promote their implementation with training programs for operations staff.
  • Manage relationships/agreements with external partners/vendors
What you bring:
  • 10 years’ experience in Operations within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong organizational and leadership abilities to motivate a team of supervisors and hourly workers.
  • Outstanding communication and people skills.
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics.
  • Familiarity with MS Office and various business software (e.g. ERP, CRM).
